Hello, My name is Debbie Miller from Arizona. I've been doing machine embroidery for years, just for family and friends on a single needle machine. My husband and I have decided to start a home business and are taking all of Joyce's courses. We now are at the stage of purchasing a machine and are looking at the Brother Pro 1000. Service would be great and it's portable enough to take to shows & festivals.
Would appreciate anyone's input on purchasing first machine. Thank you
We also have a Brother PR 1000 purchase last year. Our business will be portable as we live in an RV and weigth was an important factor for us. I love the machine! So far we have been doing shirts, hats and sweaters. Several hundred so far.
I do have one problem that will require the machine to go to the shop. It appears that needle number 3 no longer works. No errors or warnings just stopped working. Brother has been great on troubleshooting it, but at this point they need a tech to look around. The shop we purchased from is sending someone to pick up the machine and will drop it off when it is repaired. They even offered to let us use one of theirs if we have any work come in while it is in the shop.
We got a great price on ours. Contact me for some tips on getting a good price range. I was really suprised with the markups.
