After a lengthy struggle with hooping a "bucket hat" this afternoon I googled my problem and discovered this site and blog. Fixed the bucket hat problem too! I am looking forward to learning new tips and tricks of the trade.
I began my home based embroidery business 2 years ago after 35 years of teaching elementary school. It actually all began in 2008 when I received a little Singer Futura for my birthday. My husband says he created a monster as over the last 2 years I have graduated to 2 PR 620's and now a PR 1000. Half of our home appears to be my embroidery business. OOPS! I thoroughly enjoy the business. I am not an artist, but the integration of art into the core curriculum was always my thing when I was teaching. I create many of my own designs and I do my own digitizing using both PE Design NEXT and Florianni Total Control.
We raise TB race horses on our farm in Aldergrove, BC, Canada. As a result many of my clients are horsey folk. I do work for local businesses, teams and clubs as well as display individual items on consignment at a local feed and tack store.
