I have two questions on this subject. It was mentioned on the vedio that we can use either a soft cutaway or a no mesh as a backing. For those of you that have embroidered beanie caps which backing do you prefer? I do have both backing and they are going to be sent to Iraq in the fall.
2nd question on some of them I am going to add a text and was wondering what would be the best underlay for the wording. Would zig zag plus be enough or the netting? Any info would be greatly appriciated.

Patsy;
I usually will use a no show mesh for the stabilizer as it is a lighter fill usually then a lightweight cutaway. My opinion of course.
As far as the lettering goes how big is the lettering? If it is small lettering I would would do a centerline
underlay but if it is bigger you could get away with possibly an edge run or a zig zag stitch.
Good Luck!
